Training

Young Horse Development

While we no longer start or break young, green horses under saddle, we do offer young horse development focused on:

- Groundwork and manners

- Confidence building and exposure

- Conditioning and preparation for training and show environments

This approach allows young horses to develop correctly—both mentally and physically—before advancing in their ridden careers.

Private Lessons

All instruction at Kelly Meyer Performance Horses is offered through private, one-on-one lessons, ensuring individualized attention and a customized learning experience for both horse and rider. 

Private lessons are designed for:

- Youth and adult riders

- Beginner through advanced levels

- Western, English, Halter, Showmanship & Ranch Riding

- Horsemanship, groundwork, and showmanship

- Confidence-building for horse and rider

Lessons may be taken on a rider’s own horse in training or on select barn horses, based on availability and suitability. Each lesson is goal-oriented, supportive, and tailored to meet the rider where they are—while helping them progress with clarity and confidence.
